1956 Pontiac Catalina ????With no pillar behind the front door to support the roof, Pontiac coupes had a sporty, airy feel that helped popularize the style known as hardtop convertibles. Despite the excessive chrome, early Catalinas had graceful lines; later models would feature oversize horse-collar grilles. GM discontinued the line in 1981 as part of a downsizing move. |
