Thomas D. Gorman: Entitled, "The Ten Greatest CEO's of All Time".
And in that, you described a period of intense soul searching, following the economic speed bumps of 2001 and 2002, in which government, media and stakeholders were raising some very intensive questions about corporate leadership and corporate governance, which is really kind of a deja vu moment, -- like what else is new? --, this sounds like something we are going through lately, yet again.
And from that, I guess I have two related questions.
One is, what if anything do you think we've learned since you wrote that very prescient observation?
And secondly, given some of what we've been through in recent years, do you think American companies are still a good role model for emerging Chinese companies to study? And if so, which do you think are the greatest models that they need to be looking at?
